How to Root HTC One X

Features of HTC One X :

Before You Start to root

  • Be careful that your device should have at least 75% battery backup.
  • All the necessary data available in your phone should be backup.
  • Please ensure that all your security suites, like firewall and antivirus, on HTC One as well as on computer must be disabled.
  • You must enable USB Debugging mode on your HTC One X. Just follow, Settings–>Applications–>Development–>USB debugging. Then select the USB Debugging icon.

Follow these steps to root your phone

  1. Firstly, download Root HTC ONE .zip file to your computer to root Root HTC ONE X . It can be installed through custom recovery to root access.
  2. Without extracting, copy the root file to the phone's internal storage.
  3. Boot the phone into recovery. To do so, Power off the phone and boot it into HBOOT/bootloader mode by holding Volume down and Power buttons together until the screen turns on. Then, hit the volume down button a few times to scroll down and highlight the Recovery option. Choose it by tapping Power button to boot into recovery.
  4. The phone can be rooted based on the type of custom recovery tool installed on the device. So, just follow the simple steps for the recovery type you have installed.
  5. CWM: ChooseInstall zip from sdcard and click Choose zip from SD card. Navigate to the Root HTC One.zipfileand tap on it to select it. Then, confirm root installation by choosing Yes on next screen.
    TWRP: ClickInstall, then browse to theRoot HTC One.zipfile and tap on it. Then, slide the circle at the bottom to the right to begin installing the root file.
  6. Once the root installation is done, reboot the phone by tapping the Reboot System Now option in CWM recovery main menu, or the Reboot system button in TWRP recovery that shows up once the installation completes.
  7. When the phone reboots to the home screen, do the following to finalise the root process. Install the BusyBox app from the Play Store .Now, launch the app BusyBox Free on the phone. Once the app is launched, you will get a "Superuser request" message window, where you must hit Grant to allow root access to the BusyBox app. Then close the welcome message and wait for a few seconds till a message reading: "Smart install has finished loading" appears on screen. Close this message as well. Now, click Install, followed by Normal Install to install busybox files, which might take about 2 minutes. These files are needed by some apps for proper root access and to perform advanced functions. Finally, a message box confirming that busybox was successfully installed appears on the screen. Quit this message and then exit the BusyBox app, which you can uninstall now if desired.
  8. Rooting process is now complete. Whenever an app or operation needs root access, a prompt requesting Super-User access appears on-screen. You can now opt to either give or deny access.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure that you have made a complete backup of necessary datas stored in your device. All the datas hereafter will be erased. So be alert about it.

  • One must install a custom recovery image particularly for his Android device. To do this, you should download ClockworkMod Recovery and must install it over your device.
  • If you have not, then you must unlock your Android device’s Bootloader.
  • You must enable “USB Debugging” mode and “Allow Mock Locations” mode on your Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562. Just follow, Settings-> Applications-> Development-> USB debugging. There select the USB Debugging and Allow Mock Locations icons.
  • You must download and install all the required USB drivers for your Android device.

Steps to Root:

  • Firstly, switch off your phone to enter into the Recovery Mode. For this just press the Down, Volume & Home button simultaneously, and while pressing these buttons press down your Power button at the same time.
  • Select the “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” option to wipe off all of the data and after doing it, select “Wipe Cache Partition” option for wiping off all the caches from your phone memory.
  • Now, move into the “Advanced” settings and there select the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” option to wipe out “Dalvik Cache” too from your Android smartphone.
  • Now get yourself back to the main menu by pressing back button and then reboot your device.
  • Download MiniTool Partition Wizard app to your computer and then install it. You may download it by just clicking it here: MiniTool Partition Wizard.
  • From your Android device disconnect & remove the memory card and insert it in your Computer using a card reader. You must not use USB cable, since this app may not work properly through USBs.
  • Now run the above downloaded app on your computer.
  • Next, click on the SD card and there do the right click on the “Option” icon. Then select the “Delete” option for a complete deletion of data on your SD card.
  • Now again do the right click on the “Option” icon. Then select the “Create New” option.
  • Choose the file type as “FAT32” and there allocate the space with such an amount that you believe you’ll be utilizing.
  • Apply the same procedure as above and choose “Create as: Primary” and then change it to the Ext2, Ext3, or Ext4 file system (but we’ll recommend you to use Ext2), so to create a new partition (external).  This space will be utilized for storing downloaded apps.

  • Finally, select the “Apply” option to finish it. After this you may insert your SD card into your Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562.
  • Now, download a Link2SD file to your Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 smartphone and then install it.
  • After installing Link2SD, run it and follow the given procedure.

1. Click on ext2 option and then click to OK.
2. Next click on OK option to restart your phone.

3. Then go to the Settings.

4. In the settings, “Auto Link” and “Auto Link Notification” icons must be checked. Then click on Install location option.

5. Finally, click on External icon and after that choose Power off option to switch of your phone.


  • After the completion of this process, you should select the “reboot system now” option to restart Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 and then reboot it in the Normal Mode.

How to root Samsung Galaxy S Duos GT- S7562

Features:

Steps To Root:

Before starting the following steps be careful that the battery is full in your device and backup all the necessary data that are necessary for you.
  1. Download the necessary rooting package for : Samsung Galaxy S Duos .
  2. Install the driver for your Galaxy S Duos using Kies.
  3. Power off your device and boot into downloading mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power button simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears on your device.
  4. Read the Warning, press volume up to continue to downloading mode. You will have a screen written “DOWNLOADING” along with other usual stuff.
  5. Connect your phone to PC.
  6. Extract the rooting kit and extract and open Odin.exe which is inside the Odin.zip file  there.
  7. Odin will detect your device on the port.
  8. Now on the screen appearing right in front of you tick “F. Reset Time” & “Auto reboot” option.
  9. Click on PDA under the file section in Odin and browse to recovery.tar file.
  10. Remove the back panel as you will be needed to remove the battery with great timing.
  11. Click on start. a green bar will show you the progress made by Odin in flashing. When the bar says pass, your phone will start a reboot.
  12. While rebooting, the phone will shut down and the device will vibrate once before shutting down, you have to remove the battery and disconnect your phone from the PC.
  13. Copy a file named CWM-Superuser-3.1.3.zip from your rooting kit into your external or internal SD card.
  14. Power off the device and boot into clockwork recovery mode by pressing volume up+ volume down + power +home button simultaneously till the Samsung logo appears followed by a CWM screen.
  15. Touch will be ineffective for now, press volume up to scroll up and volume down to scroll down, Home button for selection and power button to take you back to the previous settings.
  16. Select backup by scrolling down to backup and restore, make sure you have 2 GB of free space in your memory.
  17. Go to install zip from the SD card option and select “choose zip from external/ internal memory card”. Select the CWM-Superuser-3.1.3.zip and browse it until you get “yes” in a long list of No. select yes.
  18. Now enjoy SuperUser power on your device once you reboot it.
