Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is the Dual Sim variant of reputed Galaxy Y. It is a economic budget dual sim mobile phone which has attracting look that can attract anyone who uses android mobile phone. It has certainly gained much popularity as its cousin Galaxy  Y. It is powered by 832Mhz processor, 290 MB RAM, 160 MB user accessible, 512 MB ROM,  2 GB, internal storage,3.14 in (80 mm) TFT FWVGA 320×240 px 256K Colors. It also has a 3MP camera with geotagging.

Warning: Please follow the below mentioned warnings before you continue.
1. Backup is necessary before you start. Otherwise you may lost all the data of your device.
2. If the processes are not followed properly and accordingly, your device may be bricked. We and the manufacturer will not be responsible for that.
3. Try these steps on your own risk. No one will take responsibility.
4. Before Starting make sure that your device have more than 80% battery backup. For making your device battery long lasting and for long backup please follow these instructions for Android Phone Batteries.
5. You must have rooted down your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 before applying this tutorial. For rooting your device please visit: Root and Unroot Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (GT-S6102)
6. One must install a custom recovery image particularly for his Android device. To do this, you should download ClockworkMod Recovery and must install it over your device.
7. If you have not, then you must unlock your Android device’s Bootloader.
8. You must enable “USB Debugging” mode and “Allow Mock Locations” mode on your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102. Just follow, Settings-> Applications-> Development-> USB debugging. There select the USB Debugging and Allow Mock Locations icons.

Steps:
  1.  Firstly, switch off your phone to enter into the Recovery Mode. For this just press the Down VolumeHome button and  Power button simultaneously.
  2. Since you are now in the Recovery Mode, select the “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” option to wipe off all of the data and after doing it, select “Wipe Cache Partition” option for wiping off all the caches from your phone memory.
  3. Now, move into the “Advanced” settings and there select the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” option to wipe out “Dalvik Cache” too from your device.
  4. Now get yourself back to the main menu by pressing back button and then reboot your Android phone.
  5. Now, download MiniTool Partition Wizard app to your computer and then install it. You may download it by just clicking it here: MiniTool Partition Wizard.
  6. From your device disconnect & remove the memory card and insert it in your Computer using a card reader. You must not use USB cable, since this app may not work properly through USBs.
  7. Next, click on the SD card and there do the right click on the “Option” icon. Then select the “Delete” option for a complete deletion of data on your SD card.
  8. Now again do the right click on the “Option” icon. Then select the “Create New” option.
  9. Next, choose the file type as “FAT32” and there allocate the space with such an amount that you believe you’ll be utilizing.
  10. Now, again apply the same procedure as above and choose “Create as: Primary” and then change it to the Ext2, Ext3, or Ext4 file system (but we’ll recommend you to use Ext2), so to create a new partition (external).  This space will be utilized for storing downloaded apps.
  11. Finally, select the “Apply” option to finish it. After this you may insert your SD card into your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102.
  12. Now, download a Link2SD file to your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 smartphone and then install it.

After installing Link2SD, run it and follow the given procedure.

  • Click on ext2 option and then click to OK.
  • Next click on OK option to restart your phone.
  • After reboot, go to the Settings.
  • In the settings, “Auto Link” and “Auto Link Notification” icons must be checked. Then click on Install location option.
  • Finally, click on External icon and after that choose Power off option to switch of your phone.
After the completion of this process, you should select the "reboot system now” option to restart your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102, and then reboot it in the Normal Mode.
